    MoonPay is a crypto payments company founded in 2019. It builds the checkout infrastructure that lets people buy, sell, and swap crypto with cards, Apple Pay, PayPal, and bank transfers, and its on and off ramps sit inside hundreds of wallets and apps across more than 160 countries.

    What is PayBox?

    PayBox is MoonPay’s newest product, launched on July 29, 2026. It is a non-custodial payment vault that plugs directly into Claude and ChatGPT, so your AI assistant can prepare real transactions for you: swaps, bridging, stablecoin transfers, or merchant payments through the x402 agent payment standard.

    Wallet keys are split using multi-party computation, and nothing moves without your passkey approval. PayBox supports Solana plus seven EVM chains at launch, including Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, and Polygon.

    MoonPay has announced a USDC giveaway tied to the PayBox launch. Users who connect Claude or ChatGPT to PayBox and then link their X account can reveal a USDC allocation, paid straight to their PayBox Solana wallet. The first faucet round drained within hours of launch, with reported claims ranging from around $10 to over $600.

    Latest Update: MoonPay will reopen the X faucet on July 30, 2026 during regular US business hours, at a time it says it will announce on its X account. Some users are still hitting errors on the Connect X button due to heavy traffic, which MoonPay says it is working through. The promotion is not aimed at UK residents.

    Step 3: Authorize PayBox With a Passkey

    Save the connector, select Connect, and complete the OAuth authorization. Register a passkey when prompted. PayBox then creates a Solana wallet and an EVM wallet for you.

    Step 4: Test the Connection in Chat

    Start a conversation and ask your assistant “@PayBox check my balance”. Follow the prompts to finish wallet setup and confirm the agent can reach your vault.

    Step 5: Verify Everything on the Dashboard

    Open the PayBox Dashboard and sign in with your passkey. Your AI platform should be listed under Agents and both wallets under Credentials. If something is missing, reconnect before the faucet goes live.

    Step 6: Connect X and Claim the USDC Drop

    Once the faucet reopens, find “Claim your USDC drop” on the dashboard, select Connect X, and authorize your account. Reveal your allocation and the USDC lands in your PayBox Solana wallet. MoonPay has confirmed that users who missed round one will get another chance.
