How we label airdrops

Every project page on airdrops.io shows where its airdrop stands with a few labels. Ongoing, Ended and Confirmed sit above the round details. Claim Live sits in the box with the project’s logo. A project can run several airdrop rounds. The labels always describe the current one.

Ongoing and Ended

Ongoing Ended

Ongoing means the round is still running as far as we know. It says nothing about a token. A project nobody has confirmed reads Ongoing too.

Ended means the end date has passed or we’ve closed the round. The page stays up so you can still read what happened. It also links to airdrops that are still running.

Every day we close the rounds whose end date or claim deadline is more than 7 days past. Until then a page can still read Ongoing after its end date, so go by the dates in the round details.

Potential

Potential means the project may airdrop a token but hasn’t said it will. It has no badge. You’ll usually see it in the page title, as “Airdrop unconfirmed” in the project box and on our list of potential airdrops.

Farming a potential airdrop is a bet. If a token comes, the team may reward wallets for what they did before it launched. The team may also never launch one. A project leaves the potential list when its team confirms an airdrop or its round ends.

Confirmed

Confirmed

Confirmed means the project has announced a token airdrop in its own words: on its website, in its docs or on its official X account. A points program isn’t enough: the project has to say a token airdrop is coming.

Confirmed doesn’t tell you when the airdrop happens, whether your wallet qualifies or how much you’ll get. Eligibility isn’t final until the project’s own checker or snapshot is live. An announced airdrop can also slip or change.

The badge stays on when the claim opens. Once the round ends, the project leaves our list of confirmed airdrops. On an ended page, Confirmed only tells you the airdrop was announced, not that anything is left to claim.

Claim Live

Claim Live

Claim Live means the claim is open now and eligible wallets can claim their tokens. Every project with an open claim is on our list of live airdrop claims.

When we have the project’s claim deadline, a countdown runs under the label. The label switches off by itself after that day. No countdown means we have no deadline on record, so look for one on the project’s own claim page.

Claim only through the link on our project page or the project’s own website. A real claim never asks for your seed phrase. It never asks you to send crypto to receive tokens either. Our guide to staying safe lists what to check before you connect a wallet.

Updated and Checked

Updated, under the labels, is the date of the last change you can see on the page. Checked is the last time we compared the page with the project’s own sources. When a page has both, hover over the date or tap it to switch between them. A check that finds nothing new doesn’t move the Updated date.

How we keep the labels right

Every working day our checks look for pages whose labels disagree with their own dates, such as Claim Live on a round that has ended. Each one goes to an editor to fix.
