    What is Based?

    Based is an omnichannel trading platform built on Hyperliquid that provides users with comprehensive access to decentralized perpetual futures trading. The platform operates through multiple interfaces including a web terminal, mobile applications for iOS and Android, a Telegram trading bot, and Based Cloud—a tool that enables projects to launch customized, branded trading terminals in under five minutes. This multi-platform approach allows traders to access Hyperliquid‘s high-performance DeFi ecosystem from virtually any device or preferred interface.

    Beyond trading capabilities, Based offers real-world utility through issued debit cards that allow users to spend stablecoins directly, bridging the gap between DeFi and traditional finance. The platform supports direct deposits into Hyperliquid vaults such as HLP with zero fees, making it easier for users to participate in yield-generating opportunities.

    The platform’s backing comes from prominent crypto investors including Hashed, Delphi, Newman, Spartan, and the Ethena Foundation. This strategic support, particularly from Ethena, focuses on integrating stablecoins like USDe and USDtb into the Hyperliquid ecosystem as well as unreleased products, positioning Based as a key player in stablecoin adoption and DeFi accessibility.

    BasedApp Airdrop Details

    BasedApp has announced a future token generation event (TGE) where it will distribute tokens to qualifying users based on their accumulated XP and Gold within the ecosystem. Although the specific structure of the airdrop has not yet been confirmed, the platform has established a clear system for Gold that will determine user eligibility and the amount of tokens each user will receive.

    Basedapp has concluded Season 1 and Season 2, which introduced a new reward system called Based Gold.

    Based has integrated Polymarket into their platform, allowing users to make predictions directly from Based Terminals with access to hundreds of markets across various categories. Gold earning for predictions will follow a similar rate to trading on Based each epoch, with prediction rewards capped at a maximum of 2 million Gold in addition to the previously announced 10 million Gold emitted each epoch. The prediction reward rate will be adjusted based on overall platform usage to ensure that Gold distribution remains fair and balanced across both trading and prediction activities.

    Based is hosting their 4th Trading Competition sponsored by Ventuals, running from January 8-22, 2025. This competition offers up to $25,000 USD in cash prizes for top performers trading VNTL HIP-3 pairs.

    BasedApp Season 2 has concluded as of January 3rd, with the $BASED token launch scheduled for Q1 2026. To participate in the Genesis Event, users must accept the Based Foundation Terms of Use by February 8, 2026, 12:00 PM UTC:

    Basedapp Season 2 Launches with Based Gold System (Ended)

    Basedapp has concluded Season 1 and launched Season 2, introducing a new reward structure for participants.

    Season 1 Rewards

    Season 1 participants will receive a confirmed fixed percentage share of the Based Token at Token Generation Event (TGE). The exact allocation details will be announced closer to the TGE date.
