How to Participate in the Genius Airdrop

Season 2 earning is closed, so these steps are for accounts that already hold Season 2 GP. Trading on Genius now earns no announced airdrop points.

Step 1: Log in to Genius Terminal

Open Genius Terminal and sign in with the Google, Apple or wallet login you used during Season 2. Our link to Genius is a referral link. It costs you nothing and it pays us if you sign up.

Step 2: Turn on 2FA before you choose

Add a passkey, an email code or an SMS code to your account before you open the refund or claim screen. Genius’s docs list all three.

Step 3: Check your Season 2 GP

Open the points dashboard and note your Season 2 GP. Genius’s docs say every weekly GP drop shows there.

Step 4: Decide on the fee refund

Genius says the refund option sits on your rewards page. It pays back 100% of the fees you paid Genius and cancels your Season 2 GP, so take it only if you’d rather have the fees than any Season 2 GENIUS. Treat 11 AM ET on 11 October 2026 as the deadline unless Genius posts a new one. Genius burns all the GENIUS tied to refunded allocations.

Step 5: Pick unlock or lock in the claim window

If you skip the refund, choose one option in the five-day window Genius scheduled for 12 October 2026 before the refund delay:

Unlock now and keep 15% of your allocation
Lock for 24 months and keep 100%, which puts the full release around October 2028

In Season 1, doing nothing meant the full lock. We haven’t seen Genius say whether the same default applies this time, so make the choice yourself inside the window.

Risks and Considerations

Locking means holding GENIUS through 24 months of price moves. CoinGecko listed GENIUS at $0.31 on 8 October 2026, 68% below its $0.95 high of 18 April 2026. Genius also changed claim terms between seasons, from a 70% early-claim burn in Season 1 to an 85% deduction now. Genius’s docs set 70,000,000 GENIUS against a Season 2 pool of 200M GP, handed out daily by each trader’s share of effective volume. Only 173M GP were issued. Genius says those points stand for up to 6.055% of the GENIUS supply and that the unissued 0.945% is burned automatically.

Is the Genius airdrop real?

GENIUS exists on BNB Chain: contract 0x1F12B85aAC097E43Aa1555b2881E98a51090e9A6 returns the name Genius and a total supply of 1,000,000,000. What needs checking is the claim link. Genius’s X account and docs point to tradegenius.com, so skip any GENIUS claim offered on another domain.

When do locked Season 1 GENIUS tokens unlock?

Genius’s docs lock untouched Season 1 allocations in a smart contract for one year after the April 2026 claim window, so they release around April 2027 at 100% with no burn. We haven’t found an exact unlock date from Genius as of 8 October 2026.

Is there a Genius Season 3 airdrop?

Not announced as of 8 October 2026. Odaily reported on 3 April 2026 that Genius split 21% of supply across three seasons of 7% each, which would leave 7% for a Season 3. Genius hasn’t published a start date, rules or a points pool for it.

Conclusion

If you hold Season 2 GP, run one number before the refund closes. Compare the fees you paid Genius with 15% of your allocation at today’s price. If the fees are bigger, the refund beats the immediate unlock. If you’d hold GENIUS for two years anyway, the lock keeps 100%, but it’s a 24-month bet on a token CoinGecko lists 68% below its 18 April 2026 high. If you never farmed Season 2, there’s nothing to do here until Genius announces a Season 3. The claims that are open now are a better use of the time.
