Latest Update: Lighter Mobile App Launch & Trading Competition

Lighter has launched a mobile app with a trading competition starting Thursday, January 15, 2026 offering a 100,000 $LIT prize pool. To qualify for the competition, follow these steps:

1. Download the Lighter mobile app before the competition starts (iOS App Store or Google Play Store)
2. Complete the majority of your trading volume through the mobile app during the competition period

Eligibility requires both downloading the app before January 15 and conducting most trading activity on mobile to qualify for prize pool distribution.

Lighter LIT Staking Now Live

Lighter has launched LIT staking with a two-week grace period ending January 28 for existing LLP holders to maintain their capital. After this deadline, staked LIT will be required to remain in the LLP.

Staking Benefits

• LLP Access: For every 1 LIT staked, users can deposit 10 USDC into LLP
• Yield Generation: Staked LIT will earn yield, with APR to be published once active (initial yield sourced from premium user staking rights)
• Zero Fees: Staking 100 LIT enables fee-free withdrawals and transfers

Lighter Airdrop Claim Now Live

The Lighter ($LIT) airdrop is now live, with tokens automatically distributed to eligible accounts. Users who farmed points during Seasons 1 and 2 throughout 2025 can now check and claim their allocation.

1. Visit the Lighter app
2. Connect your wallet used during points farming
3. Navigate to the Assets section
4. View your $LIT token allocation

The $LIT token supply is distributed as follows:

How to Farm Lighter Points (Ended)

1. Acquire Required Assets: You’ll need a minimum of 5 USDC on one of the supported networks (Base, Arbitrum, Ethereum, or Avalanche) plus some ETH to cover gas fees. If you don’t already hold these tokens, you can purchase ETH and USDC from Binance and withdraw them to your wallet. Alternatively, use Rhino.fi to bridge assets between different networks efficiently.
2. Request Access to Lighter: Go to the Lighter platform and connect your EVM-compatible wallet. Click on “Request Access” and enter the referral code “” to get started. If you don’t have this referral code, you can request one from the Lighter Discord community.
3. Complete Registration: Enter your Telegram, X (Twitter), and Discord account names along with your EVM wallet address in the registration form. Click “Submit” to send your access request. Once approved, you’ll be able to proceed to the next steps.
4. Authenticate Your Trading Account: After receiving access, click on “Authenticate” within the Lighter platform. You’ll need to provide signatures from your connected wallet to set up your trading account. This process establishes your account on Lighter’s ZK-rollup infrastructure.
5. Deposit Funds: Navigate to the “Deposit” section and select “Deposit from connected wallet.” Choose the network you want to deposit from (Base, Arbitrum, Ethereum, or Avalanche), enter the amount of USDC you wish to deposit (minimum 5 USDC), and click “Deposit.” Confirm the transaction in your wallet to complete the transfer.
6. Trade Perpetual Futures: Start trading perpetual futures contracts on Lighter to build your cumulative trading volume. The platform offers various markets with leverage up to 25x on certain contracts. Regular trading activity is the primary method for earning Lighter Points, which are distributed weekly based on your trading volume.
7. Use the Lumos Telegram Trading Bot (Optional): If you’re waiting for access approval or want to boost your trading volume, you can use the Lumos Telegram bot. Open the bot in Telegram and enter the /start command. Click on /create_account and choose to create a new account or import an existing one with Lighter access. Select “create_new_account” and your deposit address will be displayed. Deposit at least 5 USDC via Arbitrum to your deposit address. Once funded, use the /long or /short commands to open trades on Lighter directly from Telegram. You can also place limit orders using the /limit command.
8. Leverage the Referral System: Invite friends to Lighter using your referral code or through the Lumos bot’s /invite command (note that bot invites are limited to 5 people). You’ll earn up to 25% of your referees’ points, providing a significant boost to your total point accumulation.
