GenLayer Airdrop Details

GenLayer has not confirmed a token or airdrop. This is just a possible airdrop based on the active points program that is going on through the GenLayer Portal. The program keeps track of contributions on a public leaderboard for Builder, Validator, and Community tracks. The portal also makes it clear that points are limited, so early participants have an advantage.

Latest Update: On August 17, 2026, GenLayer converted every Builder Point and Community Point scored so far into GenLayer Points (GLP). GenLayer said this was 60% of the Season 1 pool. Season 1 has a fixed supply of 10 million GLP, and new Builder and Community Points convert into GLP every Sunday at 11:59 PM UTC. On September 29, 2026, the GenLayer Points Portal showed 8.3 million of the 10 million GLP distributed. GenLayer says Season 2 starts when Season 1 ends, with its own pool. How to Farm the GenLayer Airdrop

Step 1: Visit the GenLayer Points Portal

Connect your wallet to the GenLayer Points Portal. This is where you can see all of your missions, points, and leaderboard rankings.

Step 2: Complete Your Profile

Update your profile and connect your Discord and GitHub accounts. GenLayer says Discord contributions are counted once you connect Discord to your portal account.

Step 3: Connect GitHub

Connect your GitHub account in the portal. The portal verifies builder repositories through GitHub, and stewards review each contribution before points are awarded.

Step 4: Claim Testnet Tokens

Go to the GenLayer Testnet Faucet, link your wallet, and add the GenLayer Bradbury network. Claim testnet GEN to start using the protocol.

Step 5: Deploy a Smart Contract on GenLayer Studio

Connect your wallet to GenLayer Studio. Deploy the llm_erc20.py example contract and confirm the transaction.

Step 6: Complete Portal Missions

Return to the portal and work through available quests across all three contribution tracks:

  • Builders — deploy contracts, build dApps, submit hackathon projects
  • Validators — join the waitlist, run AI nodes, complete validator quests
  • Community — create educational content, host IRL events, build bots or tools

Step 7: Refer Builders for Bonus Points

To get 10% of each builder’s points, share your referral link from the referral program page. Referrals stack, which makes this a good passive multiplier if you are active in developer communities.

Prioritize the Builders track: Building dApps and deploying contracts gets you a lot more points than doing social tasks. Put your technical effort here first.

Check the portal weekly for new missions: There are only a certain number of points available for each quest, and new ones are added all the time. The earlier you finish, the more points you get.

What is GenLayer?

GenLayer is a blockchain protocol that uses AI to create a trust layer for self-driving commerce, governance, and resolving disputes. Intelligent Contracts are its main new feature.
