What is Abstract?

Abstract is a Layer 2 (L2) network built on Ethereum that is meant to safely run blockchain apps for consumers on a large scale with low fees and fast transaction speeds. As a rollup built on top of the ZK Stack, it is meant to be a more scalable alternative to Ethereum. Abstract also looks and feels like Ethereum, but it has lower gas fees and can handle more transactions at once.

What it has confirmed is XP, a weekly reward balance that tracks how much you use Abstract apps, along with badges and multipliers that scale what you earn. No TGE date and no allocation have been published, so farming XP is a bet on precedent rather than a stated promise.

Latest Update: Cambria’s Dungeons has passed $2.7 million in volume on Abstract since launching in May, and claiming a Flash Badge now also credits points in the Cambria ecosystem. Check the Rewards page on the Abstract Portal for the active Cambria badge, complete the listed requirement at Cambria Dungeons, then claim it before the window closes. Flash Badges cannot be claimed retroactively.

A new Flash Badge is also live on the Abstract Portal for players who use a consumable while spectating a Gigling race in Gigaverse. Connect your Abstract Global Wallet, enter a live Gigling race as a spectator, use a consumable to boost or sabotage a runner during the race, then claim the badge from the rewards section on the Abstract Portal.

Go to the Abstract Portal and sign in with an email, Google account, passkey or existing wallet. Abstract generates an AGW address separate from any wallet you connect, so save it: deposits go there, not to your MetaMask address.

Step 2: Bridge ETH to Abstract

ETH pays for gas, and 0.01 to 0.05 ETH covers months of activity. Open the wallet page, hit deposit, and pick a route:

Coinbase, by signing in and pulling funds across
Centralized exchange, which must be sent on zkSync Era rather than Abstract

Step 3: Verify Your PENGU Holdings for the XP Multiplier

Connect X and Discord on the Rewards page, then verify your PENGU balance in the Abstract Discord to claim a holder status. Three tiers:

Pengu I: 88,888 PENGU or more
Pengu II: 888,888 PENGU or more
Pengu III: 8,888,888 PENGU or more

Each tier adds a weekly XP bonus, and Pudgy Penguins and Lil Pudgy NFT holders get their own multiplier through the same flow. Statuses drop if your balance falls below the threshold.

Step 4: Start the 30-Day Voting Streak on Discover

Open Discover and upvote an app every single day. Upvotes are onchain transactions costing a fraction of a cent, and a 30-day streak unlocks a permanent multiplier on your XP. Miss one day and the counter resets to zero. Set a reminder: this is the cheapest permanent boost on the platform.

Step 5: Farm XP Across Ecosystem dApps

XP comes from using apps, so rotate rather than hammering one. Four worth your time:

Aborean: the ve(3,3) DEX and liquidity hub. Swap, provide liquidity, and lock ABX into veABX to vote on emissions and collect fees
Gigaverse: a browser-based on-chain RPG built on dungeons, crafting and fishing. ROM NFTs grant early access and weekly resource drops
