EigenLayer

EigenLayer is an innovative project designed to enhance the security and scalability of the Ethereum network by enabling the restaking of ETH across multiple protocols. This system allows staked ETH to be used as cryptoeconomic security for other protocols in exchange for fees and rewards, optimizing capital efficiency for validators and offering new possibilities for developers within the Ethereum ecosystem.

EigenLayer is airdropping 15% of the total supply of EIGEN tokens for airdrops across all seasons. Season 1 Phase 1 and Phase 2 airdrops are live now, where 6.7% of the total supply has been allocated.

Users who’ve restaked ETH or LSTs on EigenLayer by the snapshot date are eligible for the Season 1 Phase 1 airdrop. DeFi adventurers who engaged with Kelp, Pendle, Equilibrium, and other protocols before March 15, 2024 are eligible for the Season 1 Phase 2 airdrop.

Eigen Foundation has announced their EIGEN Season 2 Stakedrop. Follow the steps mentioned below to check your eligibility.

Step-by-Step Guide:
  1. Visit the EigenLayer airdrop claim page.
  2. Connect your Ethereum wallet.
  3. If you’re eligible, you will be able to claim free EIGEN tokens.
  4. Users who’ve restaked ETH or LSTs on EigenLayer by the snapshot date are eligible for the Season 1 Phase 1 airdrop.
  5. DeFi adventurers who engaged with Kelp, Pendle, Equilibrium, and other protocols before March 15, 2024 are eligible for the Season 1 Phase 2 airdrop.
  6. Additionally, a small EIGEN token allocation has been made to some testnet users. However, upcoming testnets, such as Holesky, will not feature token allocations.
  7. The snapshot was taken on March 15, 2024.
  8. EigenLayer has also added an additional 100 EIGEN to users who have interacted with the platform by April 19th.
  9. Users who were initially eligible for the minimum allocation of 10 EIGEN will now receive 110 EIGEN.
  10. Eligible users have until September 17, 2024, to claim the tokens.
  11. A total of 15% of the total supply has been allocated for airdrops across all seasons.
  12. Season 1 Phase 1 and Phase 2 are live now, where 6.75% of the total supply has been allocated to users who have interacted with the EigenLayer protocol in simpler ways.
  13. The claimed tokens are currently non-transferable and will be unlockable after further decentralization is achieved. These features are targeted for mainnet by September 30th, 2024.
  14. The remaining allocation of 8.25% of the total airdrop supply will be airdropped in subsequent seasons, so continue interacting with the EigenLayer ecosystem to be eligible for future airdrops.

Season 2 Stakedrop incoming

Eigen Foundation has announced the EIGEN season 2 Stakedrop. This airdrop spans across three key categories, including stakers and operators, ecosystem partners and community members.

  1. Go to the EigenLayer airdrop claim page.
  2. 70 million EIGEN (4.2% FDV) is allocated to the stakers and operators in season 2.
  3. Claims open date is on or before September 17, 2024.
  4. Direct stakers can claim via the official claim page and LRT users can do so through their respective LRT projects.
  5. The snapshot happened on August 15th, 2024 at 22:26:59 UTC.
  6. Stakedrop distributions are calculated based on a staker’s pro-rata share of ETH-hours and are fully linear.
  7. Secondly, up to 10 million EIGEN (0.6% FDV) is allocated to the ecosystem partners.
  8. Thirdly, the community allocation stands at 6 million EIGEN (0.35% FDV).
  9. Ensure to attach a wallet address to your social handle via this official page by September 11, 2024 11.59 pm PST.
