    Monad Airdrop Details

The MON airdrop is finished. Claims opened on October 14, 2025, closed on November 3, and the tokens landed in claimant wallets when mainnet launched. Roughly 76,000 unique wallets claimed. Monad has not announced a second chain-level distribution, so the realistic opportunity now sits with the ecosystem protocols built on Monad rather than the chain itself.

Latest Update: Monad Cards Go Onchain With Community Wave

Monad Cards are now mintable onchain, with eligibility extended from Crypto Twitter to the wider Monad community. Complete the following to claim yours:

    Mint Your Monad Card

    1. Visit the Monad Cards mint page
    2. Connect the wallet you want your card bound to
    3. Verify the X account tied to your eligibility
    4. Mint your card if you were included in the snapshot

Community wave eligibility: members who stuck around for 8 or more days since the start of the year on Discord, Telegram, or X, with a verifiable X account. The snapshot was taken at midnight UTC on March 31.

Earlier waves: roughly 5,000 Crypto Twitter accounts picked through a reputation network approach that mapped accounts followed by known people across crypto verticals, with claimers able to nominate mutuals who were missed.

Cards are soulbound. Once minted, a card is bound to your wallet and cannot be listed, sold, or transferred.

How to Position for Monad Ecosystem Airdrops

The chain has distributed its token. Most applications on Monad have not. These steps cover mainnet setup and building usage history with the protocols that still have tokens to give.

Step 1: Set Up a Monad Wallet

Use MetaMask, Rabby, or any EVM wallet. Add the Monad mainnet RPC through ChainList, or accept the network prompt the first time a Monad app asks to connect.

Step 2: Fund Your Wallet With MON

You need MON for gas on every transaction below. Two routes work:

    • Buy MON on an exchange such as Binance and withdraw directly to Monad mainnet
    • Bridge assets in from Ethereum, Solana, or another chain using the official Monad bridge or a router like Relay
    • You can also use the widget below to bridge assets

Keep a small MON buffer at all times. Gas is cheap, but a transaction failing on an empty balance still breaks a streak.

Step 3: Delegate MON to a Validator

Monad uses delegated proof of stake. Open a staking interface such as the MonadVision explorer, pick a validator, and delegate. There is no minimum. Delegations take effect at the next epoch boundary, roughly every 5.5 hours, and unbonding takes about one epoch, which is short by proof of stake standards.

Step 4: Route Stake Through a Liquid Staking Protocol

Liquid staking protocols issue a receipt token usable elsewhere in DeFi. Several of the larger ones have no token yet:

    • Kintsu (sMON)
    • aPriori (aprMON)
    • Magma (gMON)

Split across more than one for exposure to several potential distributions rather than a single protocol.

Step 5: Trade and Provide Liquidity on Monad DEXes

Swap volume and liquidity depth are the metrics most DEXes weight in retroactive allocations. Spread activity across order book and AMM venues, including Kuru, Ambient, and OctoSwap.

Step 6: Use Lending and Perps Protocols

Supply collateral, borrow against it, or open modest perp positions. These protocols measure borrow duration and open interest, not one-off deposits, so a small position held for months beats a large one held for a day.

    Step 7: Track New Deployments

The earliest users of a protocol tend to receive the largest per-wallet allocations. Browse the Monad app portal and our list of Monad ecosystem airdrops to catch protocols before they get crowded.

    Conclusion

The MON airdrop closed in November 2025, delivering roughly 3.33 billion tokens to about 76,000 wallets at mainnet launch, and no further chain-level distribution has been announced. What stays open is the ecosystem: DEXes, lending markets, liquid staking, and consumer apps live on Monad mainnet with no token of their own yet.

    What is Monad?

Monad is an Ethereum-compatible Layer 1 blockchain focused on improving scalability while maintaining decentralization. The project has gained significant attention after raising $225 million in funding led by Paradigm, with notable backers including DragonFly Capital, Shima Capital, and Electric Capital.

The blockchain achieves high performance through parallel transaction execution and superscalar pipelining, supporting up to 10,000 transactions per second with 1-second block times. Monad’s architecture allows for running nodes on consumer-grade hardware, promoting greater decentralization.
